actionable

actionable — Actionable means clear and practical enough that someone can act on it right away.

In simple English

At work, "actionable" usually describes feedback, insights or data: "Thanks, that's really actionable feedback." The opposite is vague: "make it better" is not actionable, "move the button above the fold" is. Managers ask for "actionable insights" from reports and "actionable next steps" from meetings. In legal English, "actionable" means "someone could sue over it", so be careful in contracts.

How to say it: Stress the first syllable: "AK-shun-uh-bul".

Actionable meaning: clear enough to act on. Here is how to give and ask for actionable feedback at work.
