TBD

TBD — TBD stands for "to be decided" (or "to be determined"): something is not decided yet and will be confirmed later.

In simple English

TBD fills a gap in plans, tickets and invitations: "Launch date: TBD", "Owner: TBD". It tells the reader the information is missing on purpose, not by mistake. Good teams pair a TBD with when or how it will be decided: "Date TBD after the design review." Related forms are TBC ("to be confirmed": we have an answer but need to confirm it) and TBA ("to be announced": decided but not shared yet).

How to say it: Say the letters "tee-bee-dee", with the stress on "dee".

TBD full form: to be decided. Here is how to use it in plans and tickets, and how it differs from TBC and TBA.
