LTV

In simple English

LTV is one of the most important metrics in SaaS, e-commerce, and subscription-based businesses. It helps companies understand how much revenue each customer will generate over time, which informs decisions about marketing spend, customer retention, and product development. A high LTV relative to Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC) indicates a healthy, sustainable business model. In tech companies, product managers, business analysts, and leadership frequently discuss LTV when evaluating the profitability of features, user segments, or entire product lines. Understanding LTV helps teams prioritize features that increase customer retention and spending.
